Hello beautiful, today's matte liquid lipstick I have to share with you is the Mac Cosmetics Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Ess-Presso.

I absolutely love that Macs liquid lipstick component top looks just like their classic lipstick tubes, but with a clear bottom so you can see the lipstick shade. I also think applicator is brilliant, instead of the regular doe foot applicator it's a tear drop shape with a dent in the middle. The dent collect a bit of product when you dip the wand in, & the dent is on both sides so the brush picks up a good amount of product.

The formula of the Retro Matte Liquid Lipsticks are extremely opaque & very creamy. Due to the opacity & the shape of the wand you can get a fantastic & precise application. It dries rather quickly, probably in 2 minutes. There's not really any noticeable scent, unless you put it directly under our nose to smell it. To be honest I'm kind of sad it doesn't smell like their classic lipsticks, that would have been amazing.

Due to Ess-Presso being so opaque, the product could be applied in a thin layer, which made it extremely comfortable on the lips once it dried. It did transfer on cups, straws & food whenever I ate or drank. However it did start to wear down due to the transfer & show. Once it start to wear down in some areas, it started to crumble. I did however get about a good 4 hours of wear before it needed touch ups.
