Mary Kay | Satin Lips

Hello beautiful,
I hope you're doing well. Summer has just started & I'm already feeling the heat. My daughters now on summer break, so having both of my kids all day is quite the change because they literally vibe off each others energy. Which means they can go from calm to Tasmanian Devil (Cartoon version) in less than 5 seconds. My apologies for the lack of posts, however in the mean time of stepping back from the blog, I'll be doing some fun things as well as hopefully stepping up my blog game.

To be honest, I absolutely love liquid to matte lipsticks, but they can be very dry on lips. So I always have to take care of them cause once they get dry they start to crack & peel which can cause bleeding so it's always best to start moisturizing before it gets to that. Even though I say this it doesn't mean I always do it. So when I get to the point where my lips need care, I absolutely love using the Satin Lips set.

To start the process to recovery, is to get rid of the dry flaky lip bits. So the first step is to start off with the lip mask, which has tiny exfoliating beads in them, I apply it to my lips, rub it around & let it sit on my lips for a couple of minutes then I wipe it off with a warm cloth & dry it off.

Which leaves my lips pretty smooth however they're not really moisturized. So we're half way there.

So now is when I add the lip balm to start the nourishing part. I personally am not a huge fan of the lip balm as it does feel a bit more oily. However it is really fantastic deep moisturizer.

I bought this Satin Lips Set from my friend Linda Moore. The set retails for $30.00 which in my opinion is a tad overpriced. I wish it was about $20.00, so even though I like it, I don't love it. I wouldn't really repurchase it again because I can purchase other effective lip scrubs at a more affordable price, & use my favourite lip balm. With that being said I love that they're both in tubes because I hate products in the containers you have to dip your fingers in which unfortunately a lot of lip scrubs do.
