As some of you may know my whole eye area is my most complicated feature. I have hooded eyelids, my eyes in general are pretty oily so a lot of "last lasting" products don't last long & to top it all off, I always have dark circles under my eyes.
So I'm always trying to find the perfect products out there that would work the best with my eyes. So when I had the oppertunity to review this, I said yes without hesitiation.
Dermalogica's Total Eye Care is made with alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) which is something I wasn't too familiar with so I wikipedia'd it. & this is what I found.
"α-Hydroxy acids, or alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), are a class of chemicals compounds that consist of a carboxylic acid substituted with a hydroxyl group on the adjacent carbon"... "Many well-known α-hydroxy acids are useful building blocks in organic synthesis: the most common and simple are glycolic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, mandelic acid."
So after I found out that information I wanted to know what it does. & I found out that the alpha-hydroxy acids are what " helps conceal dark circles, and retexturizes to help reduce the appearance of puffiness and fine lines."
With just that information I would have been sold, but then I found out what other benefits this tube full of magic has.
Now when always have dark circles under your eyes the sun can be a bit of a trouble maker. A beautiful tan doesn't look so beautiful my face because often a tan will make then darker or stand out more. So when I seen that the Total Eye Care also contains an SPF of 15 I was so happy. I don't think everyone always rembers that the face needs sun protection too!
Another benefit I found was that it also contained Optical Light Diffusers which are added to help diminish the look of dark circles.
& to top off all of that, it's formulated without artificial fragrances & colours, plus it's moisturizing !
So far I have been using this product for two weeks & I can see some results. Nothing dramatic, but somethings better than nothing. Especially since this is a problem I've had forever, I'm happy I've found something that'll help.
I would recommend this for sure mainly because it can help everyone & not people with just dark circles.
