On March 27th I got an email saying OPI was hosting a Color Paints Video Challenge for the press & bloggers they worked with. Everyone was sent the entire Color Paints collection & was told to submit their designs by April 16th. So that's exactly what I did.

"The videos submitted will have a chance to be featured on opi.com as well as be pulled in from your own channel to a playlist on OPI's YouTube account - earning you tons of new viewership! One video creator will be chosen to come to LA and shoot their tutorial with the OPI team as an official guest artist. (OPI will provide travel & accommodations.)"
On April 21st I received this email:
"Thank you for sending is this info. I am thrilled to let you know you were chosen as a finalist and we would love to fly to LA to shoot this nail art look as an official OPI Guest Artist.

For travel this Friday, shoot Saturday, return Sunday.

I was completely over the moon, however to be honest. I didn't think I was gonna win. So there I was with the opportunity to be flown out to L.A. the following friday (April the 24th) but I was passportless.
So what we decided to do is, I would give them step by step instructions on how to recreate my look.
