Swatches Of the new 2013 Essie Neon Collection!

Hey guys! Today I have a really amazing post to share with you. It is the Neon collection by Essie! Yes, I got my PR package from Essie & They sent me the new neon collection to review! I am so excited I just LOVE THEM ! They are so bright! So lets get started ! Oh yea, there is also a blue in this collection called Bouncer, It's Me! however they did not send me that, & I couldn't find it at my local Shoppers Drug Mart so  I don't have swatches of it in this post, but not to worry when I see it, i'll get it & share.

So from left to right the colours are: Saturday Disco Fever, Bottle Service, Boom Boom Room, DJ Play That Song, Shake Your $$ Maker & Blanc.
I would also just like to let everyone know that Blanc isn't part of the Neon collection, however they may be on the display or nearby. (=

These Essie Pro Tips were part of the PR package & I thought I would share them with you.

two thin coats
This is Blanc which is not part of the Neon collection however they do suggest to apply 1 coat of white underneath. I however don't really get along with this formula all that well. When I tried to do a opaque one coat that wasn't streaky & was completely level I would fail every time. I also didn't like how the neons looked over a streaky white base. So in my personal opinion you should try two thin coats that way it is completely opaque & level. At least that is how I got this result.

Boom Boom Room Is in my opinion the perfect barbie pink. It's not a light baby pink well lets say it's a neon baby pink. I actually am not a huge fan of warm tones however lately, I have been getting into them. & for me this polish was not hard to love. By itself it is pretty opaque in two coats however the white does make it stand out just a bit more. Out of all the Neon collection excluding "Bouncer, It's Me"( I can't include it because I haven't tested it) but Boom Boom Room is the most opaque one out of them all. & Very eye catching.

Bottle service is a very vivid & vibrant fuchsia pink. It screams neon to me this colour just makes this collection what is it. This is a colour that stands out. & I mean if you're talking to someone or even walking by them you will notice this colour. It just says "Look at me! Buy me! Want me! Wear me!" This isn't as opaque as Boom Boom Room & does not have a creme finish. Bottle Service much like the DJ Play That Song, Saturday Disco Fever & Shake Your $$ Maker are Jelly finishes. Which I love because it allows you to do more with them than just a normal over white manicure. It allows you to layer them over glitter polishes & create a Jelly Sandwich.

DJ Play That Song is a beautiful, & I mean beautiful neon purple. I must admit it in the photos it isn't a very neon purple but in person it is. & it's a more red toned purple than it is blue. & Whether or not you are a person who is passionate about purple you will most likely pick this up when seeing it. It is just beautiful.

Saturday Disco Fever is a super hot orange. It should be the definition of the word NEON. It is super bright it could probably out shine the sun. This colour is like super spicy fire orange. It's just gorgeous. Love this colour!

Shake Your $$ Maker in my opinion has the best name to suit the colour. I cannot think of this colour without associating it with the song Money Maker by Ludacris & Pharrelle. The colour for money maker is to die for. I love this colour so much. It says gorgeous all over it, can you see it? Sadly this one was a bit streaky, so to avoid that I applied 3 thin layers that way it leveled better instead of two regular coats. Other then that I really enjoyed this colour.

OVERALL REVIEW
Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. I LOVE THIS COLLECTION. I love the colours & the fact that some of them are a Jelly Neon, which allows you to use them for Jelly sandwiches & layering. & When you get these I would suggest playing around with them, trying them on their own & over white. Either way they're beautiful & I love the jelly look when they're not layered over a white polish. I also think that Essie was just brilliant with this collection. The colours are perfect & they are just so bright & vivid that when your in the store if you catch a glimpse of them you're gonna give yourself whiplash from trying to turn your head to fast to check them out.

So what do you think about the colours?
Which colours are you gonna get?
Would you use them for a jelly sandwich?
